Moderators out of control !!!!!!!!

I am going to give myself a self-imposed ban for one month ! so I can chill out ! , mabey im over reacting but censorship is wrong and im upset !

I'm having a difficult time figuring out what was actually censored. Altered, yes. Censored.......?? I could very well be missing something but I dont know what was done other than simple orginization.

Censorship is wrong ! no-matter how you look at it!

You're free to start your own forum and espouse all of your opinions. Just don't expect someone else to pay all of the costs of running a forum so you can have your own personal sounding board.

let me shed some light on this subject

1 after what happended with the SH thread starting one along the same lines although maybe a joke was taking the piss especially after what happened.
2 the petition to reinstate Wckdmidas was pointless it was not going to happen so it was closed before it tunred into something else.
3 and 4 what do you think we as moderators do it is our job to move/merge or whatever needs sorting with threads and in these instances i think it was correct to merge them. they were in no way censored.
as for contacting every member when we move/merge or whatever would take most of our time spent on here.
you recd a pm after the fact which was again fine imo i dont pm everyone when i do stuff with the threads mods come here to enjoy it too as well as help keep the board going.
i think youve blown this all out of proportion and overreacting.

Thanks to the Mods for cleaning up the clutter!

I enjoy the thought of the Mods merging related threads, so I don't have to sift through so many of the worthless ones. If people took the time to read deeper than the first page, or use the 'Search' function, they would realize there is over 20,000 posts full of good information.

The whole WckedMidas thing was ridiculous, and it was escelated by no one but himself. If he would just learn to keep his mouth shut and not get so worked up over something so pointless, he wouldn't of put himself in that situation.

I recently talked on the phone with Li(neoprodigy), and I am very impressed.. I think everyone needs to have the understanding that all that Li wanted here is for this to be a fun, free, and active fish community for the advanced hobbyists. Any bashing, flaming, or deragotory comments should be 'Censored', as it is not needed.. As well as any nonsense, garble, or repeated threads should be 'Modified' in order to keep the forum clean and flowing with new thoughts, subjects, and topics..

Also, the concept of stopping a situation before it escelates also sits well with me, so the petition threads and general nonsense thread to 'stir the pot' are not really wanted, and I am happy when they are taken care of by the mods in a timely and orderly fashion.

I have noticed that most the people who ever have problems with administrators on PredatoryFish message boards are usually very hot-headed and short-tempered.. I have been known to be like this at times, too! but never have I got upset over such minor situations, such as these..

I feel the mods are very dedicated to mfk and are very good at making it an awesome place, not just another board with tons and tons of pointless threads/posts. The mods are not out to get us, but are trying to help us and make mfk a great place, which it is.

I haven't really had any problem with mods. Ocassionally I do things that are borderline (by occasionally I mean plenty) and I am left to my own devices usually. I think that this is just a fish forum, not a big deal. I liked mosses thread on abbreviations, but I am not up in arms over it. I don't care that much about wckedmidas psots either. If he is welcomed back, fine, if not fine. There aren't too many posts I get really up in arms about.

I liked it too, almost as much as the first 2 or 3 times I had to read threads exactly like it.. I'm glad it was merged. Whether the initial poster of the topic has 'style' or 'character' in their posts, shouldn't matter.. If you feel that their topic had 'less character than a stone', then you should use that opportunity to liven the topic up with your own idea of 'character'..
