Moderators out of control !!!!!!!!

Moss sounds like a nice person..... he/she's just trying to do something right.... hope we'll have a nice ending on this one.....

Hopefully I dont' anger any one with the following.... put yourself in Moss' shoes.... how would you feel when all of a sudden some strangers gang up and tell you to leave the board..... take it or leave it, etc...... with a very unwelcoming tone.... you can hang out here, why can't he/she do the same? Keep in mind this is not your board, unless Neo or one of the mod tell Moss to leave..... you are not in the position to tell him/her to leave.

Take it easy Moss... stick a round.... we know you are trying to be constructive. I haven't been back here often lately...... but this chit is bad...... you guys are all hobbyists.... look out for each other and share the hobby in a harmonious manner.....

How would you feel if you were doing the right thing to keep an organized and well structured forum and receive a message like this?
How would you feel if you are devoting a lot of your time to help complete strangers and be singled out as the "bad guy"?
I wish no one would leave this board. I wish everyone could get along with one another.
Obviously is not the case. I see nothing wrong with the actions that were taken prior to this thread.
Everyone that has the opportunity to hide behind a monitor can be quite harsh. This is not the case for me (or any of the other staff members). We will only do what we feel will benifit MFK and its members. We will take all suggestions and complaints into consideration.
Censorship is only applied when deemed necessary, and I feel that we are much more tolerant than other boards. As far as I can tell in situation no "censorship" has been applied, rather orginization that would be expected of any forum has been implemented.

Sometimes I get grumpy but I usually like what Moss has to say and don't want him to leave.
I will not back away on this one though, as moderators part of what we do is, and has to be, censorship. I have recieved the same type of irate (although not nearly so polite) anti-censorship tirade from someone who got upset about me deleting racial slurs and pming him to ask him not to use them any more.

You have been here one month, maybe you do not understand what has happened in the past. The rules are in place to keep peace, to keep the board running smoothly, please keep that in mind

I don't have any problem with the board rules nor the mods.....I agree there ought to be some rules if you want to make this board a clean, fun and healthy board. I feel that there are things that we/people should not be saying to Moss..... such as...... "Glad to see your leaving......take it easy (Mobies' stunt double)", .... etc.

My registration shows that I am a new member but I have been around these boards for quite some time. I do have a pretty good idea customary board rules, etc.

I know sometimes the heat of the moment can get the best of us. I wrote the above comment hoping to remind us/members that it's not a nice thing to do someone else and it'd be better for the board if we refrain from posting unfriendly messages to Moss,. especially he/she's not personally acttacking you. This is between Moss and the board.

We have the right to voice our opinions...... but I don't think we should use this privilege to encourage Moss to leave and make him/her feel unwelcomed here.

Ok guys over the last week I have started 4 threads .
1- we need a polypterus forum , This one was a joke I wanted to loosen things up after the sh forum thread debocle !
2-Petittion to Re-Instate Wickedmidas this was a good hearted gesture to see if I could get him re-instated in the forum, The thread got closed because 3 people got themselves so worked up over it they couldnt read it anymore ! actually what happened is that "The Trust "didnt want to hear what anyone had to say about the issue so he closed it !
3- Serious Suggestion ,please dont close !
this thread was started because I get confused by some of the names and when people refer to thier fish as initials ! I know there was a thread already started trying to do the same sort of thing , now if they would of actually read it they would of seen that my thread had rules , no duplicate abbreviations and only 3 per person and whoever put in the first duplicate, would of been teased a little about it , But no we cant have any fun in here, we cant be creative anymore either , "Harley K" just took it upon his own free will and decided to merge my thread with someone elses , no-offence but that thread had about as much character to it as a stone !
4- list your fish any fishies abbreviations ex/BGK Black Ghost Knife this thread had three pages to it before it got merged with the other thread , like I said Harley K just took it among himself to merge mine with anothers and he didnt even have the respect or courtesy to ask me , I did get a pm about it being changed but after he already did it !


I have talked with Neo about it and he thinks having 4 threads in one week messed with by moderators is "No big deal " well you know what ! I dont sit here at the computer and think of stuff to post so that some "greater than thou " moderator can say hey let me put my touch on it ! If a thread is good people will read and respond, if its bad , it will die !

Today is the beginning of the end ! first these moderators are censoring threads made by good standing members tommorrow, who knows what will they be doing

So true! I spend almost an hour a day reading this great forum, I can't even guess how much time it would take to moderate this!

Thanks for all moderators and ones involved! I feel like there's no place like MFK, people from all over the world are here talking about fish and sharing experiences and it's getting more and more busy! So that mean a lot of work to do for the moderators. You might not even notice 1% of what they do, because they do it so fast and clean.

And because there are a few people who think they aren't threated like they think they should be threated, the problem is most likely with themselfes, because your one out of a lot of people. Think it over before starting a threat. It doesn't actually help you.

Like with this one, people who don't even know you will choise sides. That's because this is a forum, where people like Rallysman said hide behind a monitor. So in they end, a soon as you notice that your posts are getting changed/removed, take it as a warning! Change your behavior in posting or you will risk a ban. Like it or not. Maybe you are the one being unreasonable!
