i've been REALLY wanting to get a snake for my first reptile but my ma wont let me which if fine cuz she said she "disgusted by them" lol. i didnt get angry cuz shes been so supportive of my fish thanks. it does make me want to get out on my own though which sucks cuz i got alot more college to go. but i guess it'll be one of my things i can do when on my own.

jus wondering anyone else going this?
 
i wanted to build a 15K gallon pond for my parents, using my own money, but they said no :(

oh well, their house, their rules. I will definitely have pimas and such when i grow, as well as a huge reptile enclosure (johnptc's house is my dream house!)
 
not to long ago my mom wouldn't let me get a ball python.she just kept saying "that can kill" lol.finally i told her i would never get anything that could harm anyone.i didnt get a ball but a milksnake.good enuf,i guess.but i would see why,this things with moms and snakes.
 
Happens to a lot of people. People who are uneducated in snakes don't like them, they have bad reputations, and it sticks with people and it's hard to change peoples minds on them.

Then there are people who don't like rodents in the freezer either.

thing is, i dont want a huge snake just a king or a milk, something that'll max out at like 5' but oh well

My mom is 100% genuinely afraid and has a huge phobia of snakes...
What was one of the 1st reptiles I got when I moved out? I adopted my boy Levi (albino burmese python)
Needless to say, she doesn't visit me much.
 
You're old enough to move out... and live on your own.

As long you live underneath someone's roof, you need to follow their rules.
