Well.. after mom.. comes wife.

My wife is understanding about my pets.. I have 4 fish tanks, she agreed to one only but I gradually and slowly added some. Better to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Still there are some boundaries I won't cross.. Happy wife= Happy life.

Goodluck.

I was in the same boat a few years ago. I wanted a snake like no tomorrow, but momma said no. I told my friend and he offered me his bearded dragon, I was going to take this either way, but my mom agreed to the lizard anyway. Although she never got to close to her tank when I had her.

wasn't going to suggest that... but my parents didn't want one in the house either and so that's what I did. Wasn't a problem after and had as many as I wanted/could. But you are out on your own before you know it anyway so...

I got thrown out of the house by my dad for even suggesting buying a snake before going to university...

Happens to a lot of people. People who are uneducated in snakes don't like them, they have bad reputations, and it sticks with people and it's hard to change peoples minds on them.

Then there are people who don't like rodents in the freezer either.

People who are petrified of Mice/rats also don't like them !!!

I ended up getting rid of my sand boa... My grandmother visits frequently... She came into my room once while he was eating... I was lucky I scooted her out to the living room before she saw... Very big chance it could have given her a heart attack (Im not joking at all)

And I don't feel like killing my grandma (ok thats a joke, but still serious !)

So even tho its not my house, I can't have snakes right now.

HEY! I RESENT THAT!

My mom is 100% genuinely afraid and has a huge phobia of snakes...
What was one of the 1st reptiles I got when I moved out? I adopted my boy Levi (albino burmese python)
Needless to say, she doesn't visit me much.

:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

Well I guess that worked out ;)
