What you do with that lizard is none of my business. However I am more concerned with your welfare.
There are several reasons why we are trying to convince you not to consider it as tame:
1) We doin't want you, or anyone else, to go through life as a "freak" just because you were not educated enough on the subject. People can tolerate accidents like Steve Irwin and professional daredevils, but they won't tolerate ignorance.
2) The last thing we want to hear is that you got stumpy fingers or no lips and it hits the news. When it hits the news, people will try and lobby to get it banned from the pet trade. That is how many captive-bred exotic pets got banned.
3) If that lizard is too aggressive, it may be required by the law to be put down.
4) If you want a docile or tamable pet, but it turn out too be too aggressive for you to handle, we don't want it released into a warm climate like Florida or end up at the pound where it will be put down if no one adopt it in a week or two.
