They are great lizards, real mellow compared to a Nile. Average adult is 5-6 feet long and about 40 lbs. They can weigh over a hundred pounds and approach 9 feet in length.

Monitors from Indo need lots of humidity and keeping that trough open will subject them to dehydration and escape attempts. 2. Youll need to elevate the enclosure, I do this by throwing two furniture dollies under it. This helps the trough preserve heat rather than have it sit on a cold surface during the winter months.
