Yep I went back and it is a savanha, they have 2 now for only $60.00 plus they had a 2 footer for only $50.00 pretty damn cheap, but of course the two footer was already sold someone was coming to pick it up.

thats a freak accident man. if it even happened. that falls under irresponsible parenting. i would never leave a child along with any large reptile, monitor or not.

there are many of us on here that keep large reptile and have never had an issue.

Well, yeah. I mean I guess it could kill someone if you left a baby in its cage or something, but a sav isn't going to be able to inflict fatal damage on anyone unless it is some extreme, weird, circumstance.

Sure a neglected large Savannah could kill a poorly monitored small child/baby...

but does this equal a "killer lizard" or a neglectful keeper/parent...

A lot of people try to twist the truth to make certain pets seem irresponsible to keep. When in reality not being a moron is plenty enough to keep you safe.

When I was up north I had a couple of monitors, an iguana, and a retic python...and somebody called DCF on me for child endangerment. And they came, and opened a case on us, and I gave up my herps rather than trying to fight them. Stupidity sucks.
