ive heard there is also a small population of squirrel monkeys living in the neighborhoods around the miami airport

Think also some in mid Glades and in Key West in those little type mini islands . Would love to see one but imagine chance of that is zero.

monkeys are so cute they should never be hunted
Their exotic species to that area so they can have inpredictable inpacts on the ecosistem;) However they apear to ocupy a relatively empty nich:confused: Will they make native species decline? Dont know, maybe, only time will tell, however both are omnivorus and eat much more then simply fruit. If there is like endangered birds nesting in that area maybe some efort should be putted into place to restric the monkeys as they will eat both hachlings and eggs. Also they may be cute but I wouldnt mess with them;) They specialy the rhesus can steall food from people and even atack people if they asociate people with food, they can carry very dangerous desiases like hepatitis, variola, Leptospirosis, dangerous kinds of the herpes virus, etc. Im not saying we should shot them or anything but at the very least they should be monitored and studied. Comparing to what they could cause in Florida´s suburban envoirement in case they decide to move to areas more close to people, our days green and spiney tail iguanas "invasion" its nothing:grinno:

Not really. Baboon aint cute. We should hunting these monkeys in Texas to control the population and dont forget they have diseases. Thankfully these are no feral baboons in United States and if we did then they are trophy animals because of their massive fangs.
