Was this by the Glades or Keys ?
Where they squirell monkeys?
I have heard from fishermen that they have seen monkeys in tree's overlooking the water in both Glades and Keys .

I have no idea if they were squirell monkeys or not, but they were deff monkeys. She told me that there all around her house ( her neighboors actully own 2 not the same type we saw in the tree )

By the Glades, Keys ? I am not asking for exact area just wanted to know if by Glades or Keys.

There are 2 types of "established" monkeys here . Out of the way pain to get to but neat once you find them. Not eassy to photograph due to shrubbery and they move like monkeys ;).

One is squirell the other is this type . Have no idea what it is. I am not a fan of image shack thus will post more pics once the MFK photo thing is fixed.

In last couple months saw both types thanks to someone from MFK.

Wild monkeys are playful critters but turn evil when you feed 'em and make them lose their fear of humans; definitely a "do not pet" animal lol.

Yes I didnt have any food they had no interest in me and were "fighting" and running like birds on those branches. Lots of mango trees and insects in area.

Got close to one male by pure luck . Its like 2 feet of mud below those trees. Takes an hour to travel 100 feet lol.

Its a monkey paradise as no humans for miles . I would love to live there if I was a monkey . I dont think even predators in that world of miles of mud .

There used to be a population of those by the Fort Lauderdale Airport across the street and towards Dania... I dont know if they are there anymore...
