Glad to see you got the move all worked out. That was a legit operation :)
Yes mate, I very happy it all went well, I took your advice and had the beers and coke cold and the BBQ hot and ready at the end of the move.

still think your nuts for getting that beast in glass.... looks good though
Crazy like a fox :D.
Acrylic is 3 to 1 the price of glass so it was an easy choice to go with what people can make in Australia. If I went 15mm all round I would have seriously looked at acrylic but in Australia manufacturers are few and the costs are higher than the US.

every thing fish related is more there... you guys got screwed on that end:(

a simple ray that costs me 20$ is like a 1000$ there...

how you gonna filter it?

Here are a few update pics of the plumbing and some of the finished install of the plumbing fittings.
My little girl (6mths) was very happy to help dad with the set up :D.
I am running a wet/dry on the left and a canister on the right and I am looking for a 4 x per hr turn over rate.
Thanks for all your kind words and support I will keep posting pics as the tank progresses :)

Yes, a smaller population and being an island with a unique and endemic native flora and fuana can make fish keeping more expensive.

i assume those are returns on the bottom of the tank?

No, the drains are on the bottom and the returns are up the top.

What everyone is getting at is with the drains down on the bottom, when the power gets shut off for what ever reason the tank gets emptied. If they are for a canister filter they might still be to low and cause to much pressure inside the canister. which will cause leaks. ------------------------------What you might look into doing is running a pipe from the drain up vertically against the back wall to the level you want the water to stay and then attach your strainer.

I was looking at that Rio pump and thinking wow that is a tiny pump for this system. If I am right it is only rated at 1250 gph @1 foot. I use a pump that is twice that on my 210 and still wish I had more. Are you planning on using 3 of these? I know you are planning on using the canister also which would increase the total flow on this tank but is it enough? Isn't the Jebo canister rated at 125-300 gallons? I don't want to sound like I am being critical I only want to get the consensus of the group on this one. No one had said anything about it so I brought it up. I know I'm the new guy HERE so take it easy on me please. Love the tank, love the room and look forward to seeing fully stocked and operational. By the way what is the stock.

Yes I understand, one is for a canister filter the other is for a sump.
The canister may have to have the same setup as the sump, where I have a pipe running from the drain up vertically up to the water level with a siphon break and then back down to the sump tank.
I have though about the power outage issue for the sump but thought the closed system of the canister would be fine but I am open to any advice and experience.
