Monster azul from Rio das Mortes

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Now they've settled in alittle. There showing much different behaviour than the shop owned ones I've owned in the past.

The big males have spent a lot of the time on the back of the current under the 7ft treee trunk in the tank. They spent most there time at the back of the tank. The female is a lot bolder. She's out swimming around, I've even had her taking small chichlids. So eatting is a good sign. I'm not a fan of live feeding. Although, I feel these are going to be a challenge to get off them. Due to spending all there life in the Amazon hunting.

They are very lean, I know they was caught from a deep flowing stretch, so that would explain the body shape. I'd like them to fill out Abit more depth wise, but I'll see how the feeding goes.

They've got a long way to go before I consider them stable. It was a big trip for them and it's hit them hard. I'll see how the next week goes and update then. The big makes colour is starting to come out. He's rather impressive. These picture don't do him justice.
