I have 3 Bala's in my 360. The oldest (2 years) is only 10 inches and the two younger ones ( 1 year) are 7 inches. I feed them twice a day, dry food in the morning and frozen brine shrimp at night before the lights go out. I also put in greens like Brussels sprouts, cucumbers, lettuce, once every other day or so mainly for my Pleco. The Bala's love the greens! What I don't understand is other members 12 to 14 inch Bala's that are only a year old? I wonder if people are "guesstimating" or actually putting up a tape measure???? I have a fairly large tank, water parameters are good, temps are good (80) I'm feeding good food and frequent intervals. I find it hard to believe my Bala's are stunted in any way. It seems with fish/fishing and any kind of fish type events, size gets exaggerated.
