Monster Catfish!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I really liked all the info. I currently don't have any "monsters", but I hope that one day I can own some. The closest thing I have right now is a 46gal w/ a couple of 4-6 in fancy goldfish. I'm saving up for a 210gal, and doing research on fish in the process.

how big do those colombian cats get? i just picked one up at the lfs today that someone brought in. they got it 1.5" long put it in there tank and never saw it again, thought it died, until all there fish started disappearing. scoured through the tank and found him 6" long.

My Columbians are about two years old and are a little over a foot.. they have not grown much lately so i do not expect them to get much bigger.. they need to be in brackish water as they get older or will have numerous skin conditions and eventually die.. so my two are in full brackish now... are you keeping the little guy,?

yeah i got him put him in my 55 with my african cichlids and he had a belly full of brine shrimp lookin like santa clause he was so fat (wouldnt let the cichlids eat much) about a half hour after i put him in.

Great thread, but you need to clean it up and add more species!!! This should be pinned as an ongoing data series, any comments or updates should go through the moderators or author. Keep it going.

Cheers,
Ken.

he is fatter and longer now... lol... a chunk!:D
