i agree, they look great on it.. but im also curious as to how u got the sand out and gravel in without it being so complicated, unless it was.. and in that case ur alot more patient then i am

First I emptied out a third of the tank. Then I just got a plastic tub like a lunch box and scooped out all the sand. You have to separate the sand to each end of the tank as you scoop it.. You scoop the sand out one end while the fish stay the other end. Then you move to the other end of the tank and encourage the fish to move over. You have to be careful not to panic them. Then you scoop the sand out the other end. I put all the sand in rubble bags. Once you've removed most the sand you can syphon out the rest.
I poured in the new gravel straight out the bag as it was pretty clean. Just don't pour it on the fish and again don't panic them.

Nice! How long did it take the white dots to come in on the pinima?
Thanks. The pinima has had spots since he was tiny.

Yeah that's the big male in my avatar. I have two favourite monos really. There is a smaller male with insane patterns as well. No signs of pairing since I've had them. I think I need a bigger tank for any chance of that.

The kelberi is really dark a lot of the time because it's smaller than the rest. It usually brightens up after feeding. I'm hoping it won't take too long to get it to 15". I took a few quick pics tonight. Excuse the bad pics and messy water. I just did a water change and fed them.

A classy fish there, he looks fairly bright on the picture but if he colours up when your feeding that could be why, i had the same thing with my orino when the mono's come in he didnt like it and coloured down a little, they all group together during the day like a family but on the night i have monos up 1 corner of the tank and the orino usually shoal up the other end together.
