I was reading an old issue of TFH today and I read that GF can reach 18" and 10lbs. Anybody have any pics of these monsters? Whats the biggest GF on the board?

Ten pounds seems far fetched, but I have around 20 to 2 dozen in my farm pond in the 18" range. These are the survivors of the roughly 600 small feeders thrown in for my LMB to devoure. The look like bright orange nerf footballs!

lol a huge feeder...

The largest recorded living goldfish is found in CHina....It is an Oranda fancy Goldfish.........I believe it to be the 18 inch, 10lbs.......

Wow, those are some massive commons.

When I helped my dad clean out his pond, we netted out all the fish, and the largest of the commons was about 10 inches long, and girthy enough to fill my whole hand.

I've never heard of goldfish getting bigger than a foot, but i assume that, under proper conditions (aka a mud-bottom pond), it's very possible that a few individuals could reach the size you describe.
