Monster fish from Beltway Aquarium, alternative to Shark Aquarium

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The store carries some saltwater, some hard to find tropicals, African and new world cichlids of various rarity. They have stuff from Oscars to green terrors to salvini to even large jags and umbees.

Basically Eden's in Bladensburg, Beltway aquarium in Greenbelt, Aquarium and silver spring and one other in Glen Bernie are the only LFS in the area. Besides them there's only Petco, PetSmart and other hobbyist.

Not true we have 4 more that i go to va has stores also that are the same distance if not closer than glen burnie from dc, and a some im sure i dont go to.

I forgot their was a couple in Virginia. But the closet two to DC I know are Eden and Beltway.

I go to 2 in md and 2 in va 1 is closer than beltway and edens we have a lot more stores than most people, i dont even go to beltway much store is not really as good as some claim but i wont hit a man while hes down.I actually when there and edens today wouldnt buy anything i saw in beltway today store was sub par and they are getting rid of all non fish items birds and reptiles because the HS is on their A** about conditions of their animals luckly fish are still considered property or beltwy would be out of biz but i would never wish that because at some time all these stores have something i want or need . I added a few clown loaches from edens to add to my group but to be honest best they had was flower horns and a couple african cichlids.

Eden is more for the average fish keeper while Beltway is more for those looking for something 'big' and 'exotic'. Eden may be small but at least they don't have outrageous prices on their stock.

Hey SharptoothBass, What are the 2 stores that you go to in VA? I too, am from the area and it's either House of Tropics, Eden or Beltway. I would love to add a couple more places to my list.

Vienna aquariums and pets and Marine scene a saltwater store i buy live feeds and a few other things from. I go to H.O.T, EDENS,GENISIS PETS,TROPICAL LAGOON,CONGRESSINAL AQUARIUM,VIENNA AQUARIUM,MARINE SCENE AND BELTWAY, as well as PETCO and PETSMART all these stores have something good at any given time you just have to be the guy who gets there first LOL. There are also a few i have only been to once of twice like CENTERVILLE AQUARIUM and another one on route 4 near prince fredrick that i cant remember the name of. Plus there are a few ive been told about that i havent made it to, all in all we have a lot more stores than most seem to have.
