Aba aba is doing fine and never bother anyone in the tank. It love to be hand feed and it's always the first one to sniff out the food during feeding time.

The only fish that it bothers are cichlids, large or small. Well the cichlid were meant to be as feeders anyway.

I will post pics of it at the knifefish section when I get my camera back.

I do like large congi too as the head shape start to shape. Unlike the small ones that the head shape looks very similar to nigerian lap.

ya it looks funny but its kinda hard to find big congicus b/c most congicus that have the cool shape are usually 16"+ and i see alot of big endlis

Hello,

i've read here that P.congicus is reacting with greyish colouration when kept over dark gravel ... mine is always yellowish in overall colouration.
She (my cong is a lady) is about 40cm now - and a very friendly fish. She never had bitten another bichir.

Here are some pics (maybe otherwise posted):

That's the color that I was talking about if keep in darker substrates, kinda greyish brown. Not much contrast on the patterns. If keep in red or tan the yellow color gets more intense that it's look like brownish gold. I'll take pics of my congi soon. It's normal for a congi to show some yellowish color on the head and pectoral fins area. But over all it's pretty much greyish brown.

how come serg's congicus is greenish in black substrate?

That's what happened if kept in black substrates. They will turn greyish brown or greenish brown.

Also different location that they were caught have different color as well.
Check the lapradei tread and check out my Nigerian lap that I posted. All were caught from Nigeria but each individual where caught in different location. Each location that they were caught have different color.
