Monster marine setups

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Zookeeper take a :chillpill: I know you are new here so just wait a bit. Maybe it is cheaper over in Africa, but I know in the States big marine set ups cost lots of $$$$. Most guys that do keep them have sharks and rays, but like we all said its pretty expensive. Here, check out this new guy's tank, it is really nice.

Just had a look through that article and was mighty impressed - what a great project. So much work though, but looking at the pics of the finished room, I reckon it was worth it. Must have taken a lot of time, dedication and cash, but what a great tank and room he has now. An inspiration to many MFK'ers I'm sure.

Bull**** post bru. Why should it be more expensive to set up.My only consern would be the cost of salt for water changes. Most guys here in Cape Town get our water for free from the Two Oceans Aqurium.I have a 1000 L setup .I am planning a 10 foot set up because most of my fish are in the 6-8 inch range now.Are there no guys running large salt tanks on this board.

hey bro calm down he jus makin a comment and could u convert ur water paremeters from liters to gallons for us people in the u.s.

Whats up with you guys .This is monsterfishkeepers why no monster marine tanks? Its pathetic I have seen bigger tank on nano reefs.com.Am I the only one who wants to see my fish grow to there adult size.

It seems like you think we put big fish in small tanks, WE DON'T. It is just that the majority of this site is dedicated to freshwater monsters (TSN, RTC, Os, PBass, Aros, Gars, Cichlids). Most people that keep marine set ups here are learning, not all, but most are. Some have great set ups, like I have shown, but some people have monster freshwater setups. Someone has a 50,000 and 35,000 gallon tank in their home.

Zoodiver, you are awesome. Just 6 more years and I will have a future in all things wet and wild (I'm talking about animals!).

Radley Miller thanks for the great link. Now thats what I consider Monster Fishkeeping.

No problem, but Zookeeper, please bow down to Zoodiver's monster shark/ray tank at his work.

Who says it has to be a large tank to be monster?

My mantis shrimp is only 3", and it can stab prey with the force of a .22 caliber bullet.

I have a puffer that is 1 and 1/2" but he thinks he is a monster. Attacks everyone.

well looks like he went away with his tail between his legs after zoodiver's tank. lol
