The model asked to hold your rod.. And you got pictures... priceless.

I still prefer to use my rod for catching Monster Sized Peacock Bass. Used it to catch Monster # 28 which is about 18 inches.

Also caught eight others ranging in size from 13+ inches to 16+ inches all of them will be shown in my Latest Catches thread in the Fishing Forum.:D

This monster was my 4th catch of the day caught 5 more after this. Total for the year now at 142.

What a month September was. It came and went like a ghost. Caught a total of 44 Peas for the month, 142 for the year of which at least 28 were 17 inch or bigger. Couldn't break my best month total of 45 for August last. Might have done it though if there were 31 days like August and the weather was not as stormy as the last two days.

Still September was a very good month. I had my best day ever, fishing for Cichla.

Will be giving the fish some break and take it easier the rest of the year. Will still try to make at least 150 for the year and land 3 more monster sized ones, though.:D

It's time to lighten up the stocking in my tanks and prep them for my vacation in Vegas.:nilly:

Caught Monster # 29 today, an 18+ inches male and also it's mate, # 144 for the year that is about 16 inches.

The monster follows

Caught this earlier today. It's been a very busy day. Saw a pair early morning but had no time to catch them. Noticed that they were both monster sized though.

Went to deliver some small P. Bass and Black Angels to one of the local wholesalers and run many other errands.

Got back home around 4 PM and went to catch the pair. The bigger one was absent and waited about 15 minutes to see if it will return. He was a no show, so went ahead and caught this one, the female which is more than 18 inches.
The blood on its body is not mine and the glove over the tape measure was used to hold it down on the grass. Finally just finished doing all the water changes to my tanks to prep them for my out of town trip.:headbang2

Well I haven't posted here in a while so I dug up a few pics from this year. The first is a nice 4lber that was caught where the second pic was taken. In the second pic there must have been over 30 peacocks just schooling together with a couple pairs spawning. The drought we had made the water levels real low and they all congregated in this one spot of the canal. The third pic is of a 4.5lber that I caught with a palm sized live bluegill. He was one of the best fighting p's I've caught this year. And finally the last pic is the mac daddy 6lb 1oz that hit a rapala jointed shad. I'm pretty sure he is the same fish I caught 4 months prior when he was still under 6lbs.

Well folks, today is the day JuanTamad fulfilled his wish for 2007. Landed monster # 31, # 152 total for 2007. Also caught # 153 and a decent sized Large mouth.

The last two are in the fishing section.

Now I may concentrate on breaking my other personal best of 22 inch for wild caught Cichla. I'm growing one to 24 inches in one of my tanks. If you can't catch them grow them.....:ROFL::ROFL::mwave::mwave::mwave:

Woohoo, grats Juan! I just got caught up on this thread, very neat reading through the whole year and watching you pick it up in Aug and Sept and now beat that record!

Congrats again!
