Laz, I caught these today and released. It was pouring for hours last night. The PBs should be in the mood for Spawning in the next couple of weeks

Male is monster # 7 at 18 inch

Female is 13 inch

I hate u, I tried to catch this monster an easy 15" plus with his female but they wouldent hit anything ( even shiners )

than i saw a second breeding pair but dident have it ready.

And this lil 8"er toulk a swipe at my spoon but missed and he got spooked

The trick for breeding pairs is to annoy the heck out of them with any lure. With patience they are bound to hit anything. The kid in the following picture got the PB to strike a bare hook on his Cuban YoYo rig

Is the red on the mouth blood? If so, they must be real bleeders.

It's not blood. Neither the fish nor mine. But I'm the only real bleeder here.

That red is part of their natural coloration in this parts. Could be part of their breeding coloration.
