Very nice tank.

wow, nice tank dodge. your flagtail doesnt eat up thous plants hu?

thanks. No he doesn't even touch them. he is however becoming a pain in the but for my aro. Chases him every once in a while. I think the key to my growth with him is for some reason I have a huge amount of diatom brown algea. He does an excellent job cleaning this and I think his growth shows it.

dodgefreak8 i love the smart and simplicity of it! Always been a fan of black backgrounds and substrates. And your black arowana is equally as lovely!

evercl92 the lush of that tank is fantastic, real nice and heavily planted. Is it a lot of upkeep?

And those tanks are amazing nbku3vm, almost pretend/painting like! They should frame it and call it fine art!

It's actually very little upkeep. I may spend 2-3hrs a week on it. I do testing for pH, KH, NO3, phosphate and iron 2x/week. I do a 50% water change about every 6-8 weeks, depending on nutrient uptake and plant growth. CO2 (controlled by solenoid) is on a timer that comes on with 1/3 of my lights, and the other 2/3 of the lights come on about 40 mins later. Nerite snails do a decent job of cleaning debris, though I'd like to get more ramshorns but the yoyo loaches need relocated first. For the size of the tank and as many plants as I have, I have a very light bioload - trying to keep plants as the focus.
