Thanks, I appreciate the compliment. I'm really excited about how it's turning out. If you think it looks good now, wait until you see it stained. The only hint I'll give is that it's not going to be brown...
Wow.... Wish I had some stuff like that underneath my Star 200. Keep on doing what u're doing ... it really rocks. Anyway .... "johndoe21ro, by the way, you guys make great ak's over there in Romania. And thanks for the support" ... you might be right ... but hell if I know what do you mean by "ak". Looking forward to see the job done.

"ak" as in automat kalishnakov model 1947, also know as AK47, also known as the most prolific battle rifle ever created. They have been used in action in Chechnya, Afghanistan, Iraq, The Congo, Angola, Belarus, Serbia, Bosnia-Hertzogovena, Yugoslavia, Vietnam, Laos, etc.. It has been produced by at least as many countries like Romania, U.S.S.R. (and various former Soviet republics), Poland, Hungary, Yugoslavia, North Korea, China, Bulgaria, Egypt, Iraq, etc.. In places like Pakistan, they even make perfect copies from scratch with rocks and sticks and such as tools.
In your country (from what I understand), they are made at the Ratmil factory in the city of Cugir.
Also, I got the stand nearly buttoned up tonight. I ran short on moulding by about a foot. It's the moulding that I used on the top and bottom of the stand that wraps around the entire perimeter. The bad news is I got it on clearance at Lowes. Little did I know it was on clearance because it was being discontinued. When I went back today to get one more piece, there was none. I'll spend tomorrow calling every Lowes in driving distance to try and scare up one more piece.
This is the same shot from the last page. In this shot, you're looking at the right side of the stand with the front of the stand facing skyward. The moulding in question is the one that runs around the entire edge.
Thanks again for looking and thanks for this great forum. It has been my constant inspiration.

Thanks for the kind words. Tiny's not doing so hot. He hasn't improved and isn't eating. It's time to make a decision to end his suffering. He's still alive, but since he's not eating or swimming, he'll likely starve unless the injury kills him first. Either way would be unfair to him and selfish of me to let happen. I had decided to give him until this weekend to see any signs of improvement and there just haven't been any. It's just hard because he's my favorite.
***EDITED TO ADD***
I went out and got a small setup (14g) to put some of Tiny's fry in when they became free swimming. I thought this way, he could live on in a way. But this time, unlike the last two jag spawns, no fry made it to free swimming. But that's just the way it goes sometimes.
