I wanted to ask this question to fellow MFKer's;

I am currently planning to buy a 8'x4'x2' or 30" and was looking at this company:
http://www.midwestcustomaquariums.com/warranty.html

Does anybody have any experience with them and more importantly does anybody have anything bad to report about them??

Also can anyone recommend some good Arcylic Aquarium Manufactures near Philthadelphia that make quality products for a good price.....???

Thanks guys........;)

There was a guy selling a tank with those dimensions on the forum. It was a pretty good deal. I don't know about the manufacturer you mentioned though.

That 1700 reef tank is awesome. I wonder if it has been posted on any websites or forums.

When I was shopping around for my first large tank, I had seen them on Ebay. I called them and they were very friendly with great customer service. There was alot of question I had to ask, and the guy (I think his name was Chris) and I spoke for about 30 minutes to work out any concerns I had.

While shpping around I did a seach and alot of people spoke highly of Tenecor Aquarium-Tenecor.com
I took a look at their website and liked the look of their tank better. The overflows looked better to me and ALL the tubing is hidden. Unlike the midwest aquarium that have pvc that hook up to fittings on top of the tank.

Another member just picked up a used tank that was made by midwest and they helped him out even when he bought it used at not new from them. Now thats a company that backs their product.

In the end I chose to go with Tenecor since there was alot more info on them than midwest, but I think either one would do good by you.

Good luck

i have heard of a few people on other forums buying theirs with out any problems..you might try envision acrylics..they built my 450 recently and did an outstanding job.

Thanks for the info......, The reason I am very interested in this manufacturer is because they have gave me the best price that i can find. I understand that Tenecor has maybe better looking overflows and things like that..... but i plan on getting a bare-bones aquarium with no overflows or anything. I plan on drilling my own holes in the 4' side as it will be located perpendicular to my wall in my room so that it can be viewed from both sides.........

Thanks for the tip..... I was wondering where this manufacturer is located??? and how were there prices compared to others....??

Want to say I glad you got a new tank after the night-mare you went through.... You didnt let it keep you from staying a MFKer....;)

I know I was almost ready to buy it but I couldnt come up with the money at the time...., but now that I got my bonus and tax return season is coming...., it has made me a little more financial stable....... I'm pretty sure that it is sold though. I have tryed to contact the guy but he wont get back to me........... If anyone knows the tank we are talking about please let me know.... Thanks...........

I am interested to know what this member was having a problem with??? was it bad??? And yes i have been talking to Chris and he has been very helpful.......

Talk to Not Just Fish (Kevin) forum sponser. They can make that tank and give you a price shipped to your door that will probably beat that Ebay companys price.
