I am having to, unfortunately, put a price tag on my late SpeedBump - my 33" tire track, but I can't find any sellers that can give me a price on one that big - can anyone help out???!!! :( (I have to sue the stupid %$#@$! that pet sit and killed off half my tank :`(

Thank you!

The price tag is all up to you. Start out at what you think is fair and if someone is willing to pay it they will buy it.

If it is on the market for awhile then it is obviously priced to high and you should lower it a bit.

For an eel that big, I would be willing to pay in the $100 range, but thats me. You'll also have to factor in if it is a picky eater or not too.

Everyone will have a differen't opinion, but the price should be what you think is fair.

Yes, but what I think is fair isn't going to mean squat to the Court - I have to show what the value of the eel is/was - to me, he was priceless and never can or will be replaced. FWIW, he wasn't a picky eater - as long as you fed him the Nightcrawlers (Canadian Cold Worms), lol!

Chances are your replacement value will have to be just that, the cost to replace the eel. The law doesn't look at anything else but that. So if a new eel will cost $7.99 then that is all you are entitled to.

It sucks but that's how the system works towards "Property".

Even though is a property, its a live animal.

Considering adult are never seen for sale, I think you should price accordingly.Similar to what adults of other rarities go for.Start at 200$.

Why do you say "late" speedbump? It's dead?

No, it is just property, but the court WILL take into account the value to replace the property with like property. That means you can't replace a purebred Beagle with a mutt that happens to have Beagle in it. If the Eel was 33", it is the value of a 33" Eel that is in question. That much I do know.

Just get some replacement costs estimates from LFS near you on what they would charge you. Have them write up the quote on their ltrhd, 2-3 may be all that's needed. Bring pics and any receipts you may have for food, electricity, supplies, etc.
