LOOKS GREAT, HOW BIG ARE THE HYSTRIX GETTING?

The male is about 7in and the female is probably around 5.5-6in. The female was probably 2.5in when I got her if you remember. She is strong and eats like a champ...endured a very deep bite by my old goldline knife (I think)...almost through to her vital organs but she bounced back beautifully (You may remember my panicking a while back)...And I'm still trying to be like you!

Interesting mix,I've never seen puffers kept with discus.

It is a beautiful sight! It is probably the prettiest mix of color among freshwater fish I've seen in a while. I got lucky with a SUPER mellow Mbu...not so much as one fin nip since I got him! I love the set-up!...I got a couple rainbow sharks, a bgk, a borneo python eel, and a L114 and a vampire pleco in there too. Beautiful mix of colors (IMO of course).

Fantastic! I must say that the rays are my fave, not an easy choice theres so much to chose from lol

I figured you'd comment about the Mbu. I remember when you got yours a while back and I was sooooo jealous...as I normally am of your stock. Thanks for the compliment.

Nice tank!! What kind of pleco is that in the first picure?

That is a rhino pleco that I've had longer than any of my current fish (about 5 years). Its around 10-11in and likely done growing. Thanks!

He will. In my experience they are pretty easy maintenance and eat just about anything. I love my rhino. He used to bully everyone and run the tank when he was younger. Now, he's just chill. No one bothers him and he doesn't bother anyone.
