Well that's it... Last Xingu bit the dame dust...they all dropped one by one. All other cichla in this tank is thriving and growing well...

I'm done with Xingu for awhile..tics me off and makes me think their pu$$y cichla, all dead for no apparent reasons other then simply relocating them into a perfectly operating tank with great water readings, temp and other healthy cichla that are still all fine and doing good .... Ahhhhh.. oh well..

End of thread!

Right... I was thinking the same thing... Anyone else buy their Xingu from Dan Ye? If so, I'd like to hear from them.. I really am baffled at what happened, Diet was the same as I feed all my cichla, the Xingu were the biggest fish in this tank so no bullying was going on... They all ate fine too and it's not like they stressed out and stop eating like some cichla do... I full examined each one for any sign and everyone showed no sign inside or out of any conditions that could of caused their death.. Honestly, the only thing I noticed was a slight behavior change in these guy's after relocating them. But I did nothing because they continued to eat and even case some of the other smaller cichla around the tank.. I really think it was stress that ended them, because before each one passed the day before they stuck close to the bottom with that stressed look, didn't eat that day and simply just died. I even tried (with two) relocating them into another tank when I noticed this, I even added live feeders to snap them out of it... Didn't work..

Yeah, I agree about not giving up, I have sent out a few emails to try to find some more but haven't gotten any replies back yet... I'm a lil gun shy though because I put a lot of work into these guy's (and you know how small I got these guys) and there is nothing worse than raising a cichla from 1" to 4.5" (getting them to the safe size) only to lose them for by a unknown reason.. I'd be able to deal with this loss better if I messed up so how and killed them, at least I'd know why they died and learn from my mistakes moving forward.. I can't do that here and have no clue as to what happened, which kills me..
