er...
tigirinus . . . i wonder if i can get it in singapore..
erm, do oscars and bichirs go alonG ?
coz aft getting advice frm all u guys, i tink i will scrape the RTC and the pacus... will juz 2 oscars and 2 bichirs live happily ever after in a 6ft ?

I think you've got the right idea if a 6 footer is as big as you can go. The pacu and RTC need a lot more room/water than that. A tiger shovelnose is also going to be too big probably but you can get more info on them in the catfish area of this website.

in a 6 ft tank you are asking for issues mate not near big enough!

Pacu strick vegan AHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Who ever told you that is very misinformed.

I had 2 pacu in my 8ft 300g, I rehomed them from peoples 33g and 55g and it took me a year to find another home for them but they loved to bite the tail fins off of my other fish and even bite the odd fish in half so vegan not even close

^ Nah man 3ft is still considered a young rtc, I've seen em hit over 4-5" and almost 7" in zoos/aquariums. I'd lose the RTC and pacu and you'd be good with the 6'er for awhile. If you want a really nice cat that stays around 2ft get a tigrinus.
Wow, 7 inches, that's impressive.:grinno:

oh okie...
erm wats the english name of a tigirinus ???
All I've ever heard them called is tigrinus catfish. I don't know about where you are, but in the US they are usually around $150 for a 3-4" tig, so you will probably be paying more than you planned on paying if you decide to get one. I'd recommend getting an achara catfish or if you like the look of the tigrinus but don't want to pay as much, you could get a jurunese instead, they look alike but are much cheaper.
