moon lighting

This thread inspired me to build one of these today. I had to buy some superbright blue leds from radio shack at $4 a piece, so right now it has one. I'll let you guys know how it looks tonight.

If you have a little skill, and a lot of ingenuity you can make amazing LED light setups.

From the pictures I have seen blue doesnt look too bad, but I guess it depends on intensity too. So does anyone have any good or bad to say about this type of lighting:?

Also, does anyone have any pictures of the white? or does it just look like typically lighting just not as bright?

For anyone uncertain about the use of LED's, they may be the next thing to replace the metal halide bulb on planted and reef tanks, or maybe HO T5s will. Here is a link to PFO Solaris LED Luxeon lighting. AMAZING STUFF. If I had the extra 2,500 I'd buy one.

i would like to see the white light as well... I have the coralife with blue lunar on my 150 that my rhino and bushynose love as noone bothers them.

on my 75 I have a green bulb that my synos and bichir love and I get to see my bichir hunt as well.

I'll snap one of my wifes 55 that has a custom built PC hood with 2- 1 1/4W white moonlights.

Unfortunately none of the pictures turned out. I'll continue trying with a few modifications, and then I'll get my friends camera tomorrow to try.

i got my light in FINALLY.
