have the chance to get a fresh water moray. I was wondering if i would see them that much or does the light hurt there eyes

They need to be in brackish water, they are only sold in freshwater so people that don't do research buy them.
IMO way worth it but they need bracish ater and even salt when they get large enoph I keep mine in full salt. They come out especily when its feeding time. Light dosnt seem to boher mine or any of the others I have seen but they do need hiding spots and will eat smaller fish. And crustations.
thats wierd i guess my fish store neer my house has a mutated one or something because its been in there non brackish tank with jack dempseys for 2 years. He says they can live in fresh water but dont grow as big.

whats keeping this thing alive then? I mean this things a small moray and its living with jack dempseys, blood parrots, and green terrors. Im not disagreeing with you is it like an age thing. Or do they always have to live in brackish water
they live in fresh for the first 6 months to a year, then need brackish then full salt. His moray eel will die soon, he's slowly killing it and torturing it. It shouldn't live past 5 years when it could live past 20
