ok guys i had a post to figure out the type of cichla for my small bass, but this is a new post for my big peacock he is about 7 inches long
trying to decide if its a ocelilaris,mono, other??
what do u think

I often get the feeling many poeple have FL hybrid. To me it would make sense that there would be many Fl pbass all over the place. That would also clear up much confusion on whether its an ocell or mono. I am not an expert but think its possible that you may have a Fl hybrid. All of my cichla are Fl hybrids they are nice fish but I know there is even nicer cichla in the waterways.

Yeah a cross between Cichla ocellaris and Cichla Monoculus.

i think its a hybrid. if it were a mono it would show the 3 short vertical bars. this one clearly has spots, plus some splotches on its side
