a rounded 90 will flow with less restriction than the 90 you have now but i think you would be better off adding a second intake to the tank .
ya if this trick doesnt flow 4-500gph im going to add another

what do i measure to say what size bulkhead it is?
cus maybe someone knows how many gph it should flow?

ya those are cool but i can get a bulkhead tomorrow to,cant get anything now

and now im even more in trouble
i made a diy overflow real fast
and i broke my valve thingy on top
just superglued it but dang i shouldnt have done this at night

how long can my tank go without a filter running?
i have air going in it
:irked:
this tank has my money fish in it too :(

Here is how you keep your filter alive. (I was doing a tankless cycle on it.)

Btw, the fitting that will save your bulkhead fitting is called a pipe extender. It is not available at Lowes or HD. You will have to get it from a plumbing supply (check Ace or Scotties).

ok so i got the diy overflow going
very nervous of it cus its my first
i superglued the valve on,was all good, then i bumped it :screwy: glued it again
seems to be working ok for now tho

so the outside threads of a lfs bulkhead arent made for a pvc fitting to screw on?
"outside of tank"
i thought ive seen people plumb their overflows like that
so pvc can only go inside a bulkhead?
and the piece you said, will it work for what im trying to do?
got a pic or a link to a pic?
thanks

and what the heck is in that tank in the pic above? lol

whats it do? the pipe exterder? sorry i dont get that....

That 'tank' is a wet/dry that I just added to my marine tank. To cycle it really fast, I let my sponge filters get really dirty and then I cleaned them in the wet/dry. I added food for the bacteria and then let it recirculate. A week later it was ready for the marine tank.
