Lol thanks. You should get a few yourself. Centipedes are awesome - they strike in a way pretty similar to the way snakes do, IMO.

i left snakes and dont wanna risk it anymore... i was always amazed by the exotic centipedes but just never took the plunge towards them... rather just look at pix of them and not deal with them would have been one thing to be killed by a snake but a bug doesnt appeal to me... can you post a video of it striking?

I'll try. I'd love to keep a snake or two, but they're illegal here in Singapore. =(

LMAO...never thought I'd be saying "NICE CETIPEDE" but the colors are striking on him!!

Creepy, but cool!!!

When I lived in Hawaii we had some big nasty centipedes. From what I can find out they're [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][SIZE=-2]Scolopendra subspinipes

So, is yours a regional variant or has it been selectively bred by humans? I know nothing about them...though I can tell you a "sting" hurts like a mofo, and swells quite a bit.

EDIT: Answered my own question. They're two different subspecies of Scolopendra subspinipes. I had no idea that they were kept as "pets". I killed a lot of them...
