I handled it for the first time today. It was surprisingly calm. Yeah the sensation is pretty ticklish but I got used to it after a while.
 
Great looking pede. I have a S. subspinipes and there's no way in hell I would ever attempt to hold mine.
 
I fed some little millipedes to my fish once. I think that thing would not be devoured quite as easily.

Yeah centipedes (Scolopendrids, to be precise) are very defensive. That's exactly why my pede's fangtips got clipped; the fish shop guys wanted to protect their customers' fish! I bet a medium sized fish would be killed by a feeder Scolopendra if it got bitten.

scary (but beautiful) looking thing...would rather chew my left knacker off than handle one of those.....
