they are 14k bulbs. yea they are all phoenix. my 125 definately has more par then the 28g. with all the lights on average on the bottom was 150-200. average on the top is 300-400. the 28g is 100 bottom and 250 top. on the 125 with just actinics on par was around 80 on the bottom and 120 on top. i dont think that will be to strong.

came home yesterday morning after being gone overnight and i saw my sump water low and my ato container empty. i said here we go again. shut everything down and checked it out. come to find out, 1 of the brand new hoses coming off the overflow box split and thank god most of the water was spilling into the sump. so i spent 3 hours yesterday replumbing the overflow. apparenly the eshopp hoses are not the greatest, so i went to lowes and bought all 1" pvc , some 90deg elbow and quick disconnects. it turned out great and is definately not going to leak now.

Yea I didnt use their tubes either...Ill have to let you know what I end up doing when I get new MH bulbs.

im going to record some more par #'s tonight on my 125. i added a orange monti frag last night to the 125. i place it in an area in the tank with around a 200 par. im only runnnig the haldes for 2 hours a day for now. and suppliment lighting for 6 hours. i plan to dip my tri color in coral rx and move it over tonight. its starting to show signs on stn also. bummer. hopefully it will recover without fragging it.

im not going to leave any sps corals in my 28g.

Sounds good to me...I hope it all works out man. I have only had necrosis on a coral or two in all of my years keeping stuff...but it sure seems to have gotten to a few of yours.

Im willing to bet that the larger more stable tank hopefully gets them growing the right way.

i sure hope so.. this is the last chance for sps's. if i cant keep them in this tank im all done. back to lps's

I like LPS more, but there is something about sps...love seeing growth on them, feels very rewarding.

i moved my frogspawn coral over last night. i placed it in the sandbed on the right side of the tank. i think in going to keep my toadstool leather in the 30g and move my zoa colony over to the 125. all i will have left to do is frag the 3 birdsnets and 1 milli, dip them and sent them to the 125. i have to cut about 1" off the bottom of the milli, of course its showing signs of stn.

so far so good. didnt have a chance to frag the last 4 corals. need to do it tonight. it been so hot here i had to close the windows, seemed to cause the ph to drop some. i want to transfer a few fish but its difficult to net them.
