I'm pretty sure u just sold me on the aimara! now to find a good size one for the right price, I want at least a 8"-10". How hardy are they compared to otheres ?

They are mostly ambush predators. They sit and wait most of the time.

I have heard of some hoplias curupira species being rather active, and also interactive.. (like an O?)

I know it depends on the individual fish as well..

I have a fahaka fish (a supposedly very active fish) that does not move often.

Active?

(I psoted the link because it's not the nicest photo in the world so take that as a mild warning...!)

^Curupira Co-hab fail with a small caveat that he's been fine since the move to the new tank so as always; space is key. Oh, and that geophagus is about 10-11", just to give you an idea- they certainly get a lot bigger than 12"!

So... 80 galons tank are to small to get Hoplerythrinus Unitaeniatus, right ? If im looking for active wolf for 80 galons i should take erythrinus erythrinus sp.peru, right ?
