Most aggressive aquarium fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If aggression is is the scale than I would have to say gulper catfish. They'll eat anything that fits in their mouth and are usually species only tanks! They're not huge, but definitely aggressive

I dont believe there is one fish thats most aggressive, temperments vary between fish. I think there are a few species that are on the top of the aggressin scale.

Any fish can be aggressive if they want to be, even peaceful fish can have a fiesty side to them and even some big predator can be peaceful, depends really on how the fish is feeling, maybe one day it can be a killer and then the next day a lazy fish

In my experience true dorodo, rhom piranha, jardini over 12", Channa micropeletes, any breeding cichlid

I have once kept the list of dovii, umbee, jaguar, channa obscura, aimara, curupira in a comm tank. Here is how I rank them. Size of them are around 12" to 14".
1. Curupira
2. aimara
3. dovii
4. umbee
5. jaguar

The curupira will chase every fish in the tank. Aimara and Dovii will peck at each other but chase away by the curupira. Umbee and jaguar will flare at each other but is no match for the dovii. The obscura will strike forcefully back when attack.
