Most aggressive feeder?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The Congos are my favorites of the tetras.I will keep them again someday.

Oh easily mine too. Right ahead of cardinals, serpaes, and neons.
I was never big on any of those but I've favored the Columbian and Buenos aires tetras.

What stocking density exodons??? I am putting mine in at 5 gallons a fish??

Someone on this thread suggested 1.5-2 gallons per fish so that's very generous.
Most sources say that with 7xcapacity / Hour filters between 2.5-4 gallons a fish more plants and filtration more fish, I might put 17 in my 250L to be safe

What do y'all think about this african biotope:
-40 breeder standard glass tank
-DIY canister filter, made from a 3-4 gallon round cooler, filled with media, and either a 290 or 400 gph pump, can't decide - it's like $3 extra for an extra 110 gph and I can likely dial it down so probably the 400 gph (technically 396)
-Standard 2-bulb T5 fixture
-Heater with heater guard, hidden somewhere in the back corner behind everything
-Some awesome driftwood pieces, maybe huge mopanis if I can find nice ones
-Plant fertilizer substrate in spots where there will be lots of plants, and then some nice sand on top of the entire bottom (obviously it will be higher in the spots where there is fert. beneath it)
-Some naturally collected rocks, some that look pretty old and almost like petrified wood sort of and some river rocks
-For plants, cheaper anubias nana all over the wood, a few crinums around the tank (no more than 3 or 4, they're pretty expensive), some bolbitus, and a dwarf water lily
For fish, 8 congo tetras (even between the males and females), 3 upside down catfish, 1 african butterfly fish, 1 jewel cichlid, 1 elephant nose fish, 1 leopard ctenopoma, and 2 african dwarf frogs. Any thoughts on the stocking plan? Be brutally honest with me, I'm kind of not too sure on it.
