I want to purchase the most aggressive fish I can in the state of Alabama for a 55 gallon tank that has been set up for a year now. The tank has great filtration and can withstand a large bioload.

try a butti, hands down the most aggresive fish i have...but they get pretty big (not sure if they get over 15in), maybe if you keep it buy itself...most other super agro fish would all get to big for a 55gal.

flowerhorn mixes being agressive with beauty:)

Like the butti suggestion. I am not really a big fan of flowerhorns. Any other suggestions? It doesn't necessarily have to be a single large fish.

Wolf fish Hard has Nails :headbang2 Hoplias Malabaricus dont know your laws but a snakehead would be more aggressive but dont think you can have them. in a 55 the wolf fish would be nice.

I like the wolffish suggestion. Where the hell would I find one though?

I just picked up 7 exodon tetras for my 55gal after the little demonstration at the pet shop. These little guys are fast and always hungry, they ganged up and shredded a guppy when it was tossed into their tank. I'm going back to Big Al's to pick up some more so I can have an even 10 in my 55g. I've heard they get up to about 5-7".

You will be surprised how easy. With for a post. “for sale wolf” OR ask someone.

Aggressive like a glass/hand biter? or Aggressive like 'swallow you and tear you in half' but hardly do much else ..?

A pack of F8 puffers would screw some stuff up ;) You could also do like a Mirius or Arrowhead puffer..

The butti is a great idea, but they do get a little too big.. Also Red Devils and Jaguars are classic glass-biters, but you should atleast have a tank 18" deep for them..
