Alot of people like to say that piranhas are the most aggressive but you can youtube videos of an Oscar taking them on and an Oscar is not tough compared to some cichlids.
Pound per pound I would say Convicts, but a breeding pair of Jack Dempseys are mean as heck.

The toughest would have to be either Dovii or Jag, and flowerhorns but it depends on the individual fish. Youtube fish vs fish and you will see fights.

your right red bellys are not aggressive at all but rhom piranhas or black piranhas are same wih elong pirahas or pike piranhas.. they tear up any cichild from my experenxce

To be honest its really a confusing question. Are you asking as far as full size adults who would eat or kill who? Or pound for pound aggression?
As far as just aggressive I could name a few but as far as who kills who tough ?

I mean you have Aba Aba, Alligator Gar, Giant Sting Ray, Giant Wolf fish, Paroon Shark, Electric Eel, Goonch, Arapaima, Giant Perch, etc....

I would imagine a snakehead to be the most all around aggressive fish. Judging from the videos I have seen, a snakehead would destroy a fish before it has a chance to turn around.

If you drop any cichlid into a tank with a full grown Aba Knife, the cichlid will be bitten in half instantly as well.

Just because it's big doesn't mean it's tough...

I think he wants to ask who would kill who (at equal sizes)

Other the the question being a moot point in general.. a few species would fall into this catagory.. and it's actually pretty simple to pull the species imo. Any fish that falls into the catagory of "single specimin tank".. My personal experiance was my Female dwarf pike is the nastiest fish I've ever owned. She beat up every tank-mate she ever had other then my tire track eel who would hide most the time. and would bite her right back. She doesn't have the teeth many species get for killing their tank-mate easily. But I have yet to find a fish that can live with her w/out falling prey to her aggression. She's about 6" and I don't wanna tick her off... lol. My Aba aba knife has his own tank because the pike picked on him to much, and I wasn't going ot wait for him to get tired of it and take a bite out of her.. Because at some point he would no doubt. our Fahaka puffer is a punk.. and will actually get ticked off if you open the tank but don't feed him/her. I'de never stick my hand in that tank w/out watching him closely. Again.. a territorial fish that has the means. at about 4" hes already a tank banger. The aba is very reclusive on the other-hand. But I'de be just as wary putting my hand in the tank... while I won't hesistate to put my hand in a tank full of piranhas properly maintained ( I don't consider a species aggressive if it's starved to attack anything, which you often see with piranha species and snakeheads when they where legal in the US.)

Aimara Wolf
Asian red-tail cats
Jardini arrows
Alligator gar
African Lungfish

all run into this group imo.. there are exceptins of fish doing well in community tanks. by sheer dumb luck, and liekly abit of skill in the knowledge of the individual fishes personalities housed. But more often then not these fish don't tolerate tank-mates at all. Sometimes these fish do fine in communities as juvies.. but 99% once they hit adult-hood destroy their tank-mates. I'm sure I'm missing some species...

i dont see any ell like freshwater fish as aggressive, knives arawana eels etc ive had a lot of different ones and lost them all due to my baby rhom

In my opinion, I would say that the Snakehead is one of the most aggressive fish. Then again, anyfish that eats others for survival will attempt anything if pushed far enough. I've seen video of two Largemouth bass both about 9inch trying to eat one another. Hope this helps.

I would say aba aba knife but who really cares about fish being agressive that just means sooner than later one boring fish in a tank sitting in a corner.
