i feel if everyone wants people with new questions to use the search option on mfk THERE WILL BE NOMORE FORUM!!!

EVERYONE KNOWS WAT CICHLA IS THERE ARE TONS OF THREADS PICTURES ETC... WHY ASK PEOPLE TO SHOW THEIR CICHLA, OR DOVI, OR ANY OTHER CICHLID IF THEY ALL ARE PRETTY MUCH THE SAME??? IF HE HAS A QUESTION. REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY THREADS HAVE BEEN MADE ABOUT THIS TOPIC LET HIM ASK IT! THEN WHEN HE GETS HIS ANSWER WHICH I BELIEVE HE HAS... JUST HAVE THE MODS CLOSE THE THREAD TO LESSEN SIMILAR THREADS...YES THIS SHOULD BE MADE A STICKY MAYBE IT WILL HELP A BIT... BUT WHOMEVER IT BOTHERS I SAY JUST DONT READ AND LEAVE IT ALONE...

GETTING BACK ON POINT.. I THINK THAT CRENICICHLA ARE BEAST FISH, LIKE EVERYONE HAS BEEN SAYING DEVIL DOVI UMBEE MY OLD MOTAGUENSE WERE MURDERERS, NOW MY NEW GRAMMODES ARE BEASTS...GO WITH WHAT YOU WANT DO YOUR RESEARCH, NO QUESTION IS DUMB REDUNDANT OR OVERLY ASKED... IF YOU WANT THIS TO BE A CARESHEET THEN CALL IT A "CARESHEET" NOT A FORUM

Stop yelling, it makes you look like a fool.
The search button wouldn't be there if it wasn't used/helpful.

I think that the most aggressive cichlid is one thats hungry and has smaller tankmates.

sorry once i press caps the first time i forget to take it off... im not yelling im filled with love joy and laughter and only a bit foolish... sorry to derail...

Try putting your aggressive cichlid in a large tank. I think most keepers will find their fish will be nicer. There have been many articles about midas being more of a community fish when in very large tanks. "Real Cichlids Dont Eat Quiche" article has a lot of info about which cichlids are actually very aggressive.
In the end, even in very large enclosures, Dovii and Umbees remain aggressive as hell.

probably should be a "sticky" thread....

i've mainly kept red devils/midas and vouch for thier aggresivness, mean SOBs!

of course you have your doviis and umbees, and maybe pound for pound, the convict!!!

there are a lot of studies done on cichlid aggression. When you take away all of the "which fish can kick which fish's ace" mentality, its still very interesting, because most of us find behavior an interesting topic. Especially when its dealing with our pets. Many people start threads like these for all sorts of reasons, but our interest in this topic is why we all, (even those of us who are tired of the question) still read them and respond to them.
And of course, I'm your worst nightmare.
