Most Agressive Freshwater Fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I can't say which fish would be "most aggressive". There are tons of species of fish that are extremely aggressive generally, but it does depend on the fish itself too and of course what you consider to be aggressive. Silver aros are suppose to be peaceful, but mine use to attack my oscars for no reason and go out of its way to swim near the bottom to bite them when they hide in the corner.

Has anyone said Jaguar Cichlid??? mine is really aggressive. he attacked my hand when i was moving some stuff around in his tank. and he slams into the glass when you walk by...

most people would agree that the jag (at least a male) should be in at least a 75 gallon.

do a planted tank with a school of exodons or why not try cherax gibbosus. there are lots of characins that are mean as hell when kept in large groups.

only if realesed into the wild no problem when kept repsonsibly in captivity of you catch one from the wild here in the U.S thats what need to be done

i would say a red devil, a true red terror or a wolf fish but a 55 gallon is not quite wide enough for the he would be ok probably but they do better in a 75 however all three are one fish tanks and love eating live I have a red devil and red terror and had a wolf fish that recently passed and they are all great solitary predator. however in a big enough tank red devils and red terrors can live with other large aggressive cichlids (somethimes)

thanks alot guys
i ordered some red bellied piranhas
