No thanks. This isn't a stocklist, just a conversation with the wife I thought would be a fun thread. I am overstocked on species as it is. I've had a really hard time passing by that female freddy down at A to Z as it is. *self control* sigh

I'd have to disagree with that. Males look 10x better imho

I agree. My male dovii looks amazing, the female not so much.. That's funny the dovii pair is what got this conversation started at my house. My wife likes the female dovii better.

LOL you win.. You know I would really love to hang on to as many of those females as I can so the idea is wearing on me. Still I want to hear what everyone else thinks on the subject.

love the la ceiba females and dovii females. a female im not fond of would be umbee

Don't forget female severums...can hardly tell them from the males! The thing is, with a females only tank you're going to run into some nutrition problems. See, groups of females tend to single out the weakest one, and then they insult that one until she develops an eating disorder.

Not to knock you guys, but I happen to think the complete opposite. I've seen some very nice female Umbees, but imo female dovii are just plain compared to males. And when it comes to severums, males tend to have much more color. Especially when it comes to Notatus(females are just flat out ugly). I find severums to be one of the easiest cichlids to sex. I do agree however that female la ceiba's are sexy. Especially in their breeding dress.

Agreed. Especially. The female dovii part. When I compliment a good looking female dovii, its usually because I ewas expecting the usual ugly one.
