come on seriously!severums are beautiful,discus are even more beautiful,but really OSCARS!my cousin has a pair of green wildcaught and i think theyre ugly and boring to look at since they just chill in the background.if you want beautiful cichlids theirs only one continenet to go.AFRICA.mbuna,demasoni,yellow lab,brichardi, peacocks,red shoulder,sunshine,ruby red, haps,electric blue.etc. those are the most beautiful fish out there.but their is 2 exceptions which i personally do like those are the gt and the ebjd.those are the most beautiful fish outside africa.look up all african species,ca and sa cant really compare to those colors.

hhm tough call, for me oscar are to popullar, just about every one has one, though i seen some very nice ciclids, as for color i would have to go with green terror or the jack dempsey. but for all in all i say the gt will not let u down

Going on pure looks, nothing beats a large Jaguar. To me they are absolutely stunning.
