Most beautiful cichlid?

what does Oscar's personality have to do with most beautiful fish?

I like the look of oscars sure, but there are defiently far more beautiful cichlids out there. I still love the look of a large blue adult dovii and the discus color variation makes it look liek you have a moving flower garden in your tank.

though there are many candidates, blue acara, edjd, red terror, etc
 
Holy anole. I didn't think this thread would be so popular but I guess I should have figured that since it IS like a biased question XD sorry guys. I should have named the thread "what is the most beautiful cichlid to YOU" but whatever.
Ps- I've read the thread and I'm getting a lot of discus and sa/va votes :P

no why? there are 3 in an aquarium store in Queens that are way more cheaper and have clearer wormy markings on their face.
 
So far, all fish mentioned look like mud compared to a good Geophagus Altifrons, Surinamensis or the like. They are dazzling, like neon tinfoil wrapped around crystalline fantasy. Blues, yellows, greens and reds...often on the same fish. They look like living lazer shows. I have never seen ANYTHING like a good Geophagus. In fact, I'd put forth the notion that you have not lived as a fishkeeper until you see one of these dazzlers.
