Most beautiful cichlid?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That would be my choice, too, if I hadn't remembered the Geos. Nice reds and yellows on those Syns!

wild caught fish for the win... cause there colors and patterns are always unique compared to fish bred in captivity.

(not my pic just from some googling)
I've always thought that Altolamprologus calvus were really naturally pretty fish. As far as man made, I'm partial to snake skin discus and the white/red midas morphs.

I wanna see more pictures! These are lovely!!

if by 'beauty' you mean by looks. personally i would say it has to be out of Discus, fully grown A.Heckelii and some Geophagus's, (most notably the 'Tapajos' and 'Surinimensis') types. Fully grown mature adult is just amazing, with their intense blues/reds and them lond extensions to their finnage. . . But, everybody has different opinions. and would disagree with me.

Christmas Fulu are one of my favorites for looks. Victorian cichlids in general look awesome. I wish they grew bigger than 4"-5".
