Nothing is difficult if you can consistently maintain ideal conditions for a species, but some species have conditions that are harder to maintain, especially for beginners. For example, >9 pH, high TDS and 90+F water of alcolapia, or <4pH and minimal TDS water of things like parosphromenus. I imagine balancing out ideal brackish salinities would be difficult for beginners as well.

Used to be arrowana- lost so many before or at 12” I nearly gave up. Smallest gap an they would jump through, accidentally left a gap and off they went again, etc. etc.
