Most Expensive Fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Most expensive salt was a small scribbled angel for 275 bucks.
Most expensive fresh and worse purchase ever was the gulper cat for 70. Boring fish. Worse than my spotted sleepers.
Most expensive DOA were shipment of 10 mandarins and 5 cardinalfish.

Mine was a Royal Clown knife for $300 au.

Worst part was when my rtc who was about the same size at the time ate him on the first night,, I left the light on and everything!

An expensive lesson........but thats the fish game

i try not to spend too much on my fish just because i spend so much on tanks, filters, food, etc. thats the most expensive part of the hobby for me. but i agree with buy small and grow them out. the fish have so much more personality in my opinion. i have my rescues as well but they just love me because i got most of them out of very small tanks. but id say $17 on a 3 inch red oscar. and $16 on an african butterfly fish. but one of the employees at a lfs here said a few years ago he saw this vets tank in his home that had a platinum aro that he paid $22,000 for and had it microchipped like a dog."in case it got stolen" thats a bit much dont you think? i mean i know they are expensive fish but jesus christ.

i heard that alot of asian arows are microchipped. do u no if thats true?? or the come microchipped when u buy thm.. sumthing like that

Asian arowana are endangered in the wild. If a fish isn't microchipped (that is, bred in captivity with permits) then it is illegal.

$150 for a zebra pleco, I bought 3..
