Which leads to another question....
Does anyone insure there fish?

yeah i wish.....i asked my homeowners insurance company...........and they said.........noooooooooooooo!!!!!:D

you can get pet insurance for a lot of things...
i imagine people must insure expensive aros and what not.

not even as assets against theft? I can insure my reptiles etc. That sucks, im kind of suprised, maybe just shops can as it is stock?

if im rich... i will not work 6 days a week..... ;)

That is just a difference of oppinion. Have a look at any CEO or owner of a big company, they still work , its called being smart.

I see what you mean, but if you had a few million, you could buy the fish because you can, or as a symbol of how rich you are, as opposed to the love of the hobby, which people do, particularly with aros...

But anyway, I did mean fish for the hobby, not foods fish. Suprised neo hasn't chimed in, with going to the school of uber rare and all.

What's the difference? I can keep a bluefin tuna and sell it at that price to people who want to eat it.

have you? can you? alive. Think its degenerating from the point...
simply wondered what have been the top pound (or dollar) sales for fish within our hobby.

I never knew about that red eyed arowanna but a few year back a flowerhorn sold for about $400,000 us! You can see them on aquabid regularaly for over a grand and I've seen one there for $25,000
