Most graceful, active, easy care FW fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
id say go for several large schools of tetras, maybe 30 or so neons, 30 rummynose, 30 red serpae 30 pristella tetras.

i think a bunch of tetras for color and movement would be good but i think u need something better as a centerpiece. maybe several geos, or apistogramma, dwarf crenicichla and maybe some nice colorful gouramis as well.

bkg and clown knifefish will get to big and most likely eat any schools of tetras you have so if ur looking to have scholl of tetras, u might have to avoid some of the bigger fish

u kinda said wt i was gonna say for the tetras.

P.S some agressive fish r rlly graceful and colorful too! so dont count them out just yet

Just saw some nice pics of mature comet goldfish. I wonder how a large community of them would look in an Asian decor style aquarium? Gonna look on youtube later tonight.
Thanks for all the suggestions. Please keep them comming! I would also like to see some pics/images of large tanks with goldfish or rainbow fish, if you can find them.
Thanks everyone!

I'm partial to knife fishes myself. A clown knife will eat smaller fish but it's not necessarily very aggressive. Somewhat nocturnal but they can get comfortable around their owner pretty quickly. Very pretty when they move! Just make sure it gets a cave.

You should really consider pike cichlids (crenicichla). They have the elongated body shape you're looking for and some intense colors.

Or u cld do salt and have a sweet eel like the canuck

wow.. what wouldn't I do for that tank if you reversed the height/width..
