Which fish would be the most impressive to keep, could be fresh water, brackish or salt water.
When i say impressive, i mean size, aggressiveness, teeth etc.. and all the other elements that we all love about our monster fish.
The only limit (so no great whites) is that it has to be able to be kept in a home aquarium, whatever size that may be. (so no 10.000gal tanks needed)

Everyone always "ooohs" and "aaahhs" at Pirahnas because of how they're projected in movies and such. Everyone just thinks they're super dangerous and what not.

But for the truly informed people.. ie, people in the hobby, there's loads of stuff that is extremely impressive, in my opinion. Arowanas are always looked up on, alot of people are impressed by people who keep parasitic fishes, super rare fish (like a freshwater Threadfin, Polynemus aquilonaris), or really large fish ala RTC.

as commonplace as they are to us MFKers honestly I think a 30"+ silver arowana in an adequete tank (300 gal+) is one of the most impressive sites in fish keeping. Always gets oohss and aahhss from non-fishkeepers and fishkeepers alike. Other than that - ATFs and Vampire Tetras always impress people :)

Just my opinion but I truely believe arowanas are ugly, would NEVER have one. For bottom feeders a TSN or red tail cat, off the botttom a large Distichidus or Pacu I like a lot but prefere groups of pretty fish, think this may be impressive.

Everyone always gets impressed looking at rays.
